Learning Platform

Frequently asked questions

Questions about a single module are answered on that module's page.

Is the platform free?

Yes. All seven modules, the activities and the certificates are free. You only need an account with an email address.

Who is the platform for?

Mainly young migrants and refugees aged 18 to 30 who want to find work or do well in a new job in Europe. Youth workers, trainers and employers can use it too, for example to prepare a workshop.

My English is not perfect. Can I still follow?

Yes. The lessons use short sentences and simple words, and new terms are explained when they first appear. You can read a lesson again as many times as you want. More languages will be added later.

In what order should I take the modules?

Any order works. Communication is a good first module because it prepares you for interviews, team talk and feedback. Inside a module, follow the sessions in order.

How long does a module take?

Each module shows its duration, taken from the SMILE curriculum: Communication 8 hours, Adaptability 6 hours, the others about 3 hours. This time includes reading, activities and your own reflection. You can stop and continue whenever you want.

How do I get a certificate?

Complete all lessons of a module and pass its knowledge check. You can retry the knowledge check as often as you like. The certificate is created automatically and has a code that anyone can verify on this site.

Who can see my written answers?

Your reflections and action plans are saved in your account so you can come back to them. They are not public. Platform administrators can export answers only to improve the training; see the privacy notice.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Every lesson and activity works with touch on a phone and with mouse or keyboard on a computer. You can also add the platform to your home screen like an app.

Are my points and badges visible to others?

Only if you want. The leaderboard is optional and you can switch it on or off in your profile.

What is SMILE?

SMILE ("Support Young Migrants Integration in the Labour market in Europe") is an Erasmus+ youth partnership of seven organisations from Türkiye, Greece, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.

Co-funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the Turkish National Agency. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
